I have definitely respected Hops for all that he did after what he went through....he is a great role model for inner city kids who dont think they can make it out..BUT, with that said, the fact that he went through those hard ships isnt making him able to beat these fighters, it is his skils and work ethic...like I say, he got beat by RJ and JT, two guys who never went to jail, got stabbed, etc etc

      No ******.
To be honest I don't believe half the hype I hear about "rough" upbringings.
And you don't need to be from the ****** to qualify for one.(a rough upbringing).

going to prison at 17 is about as rough as an "upbringing" as it can get...

        i disagree..

Hops HIMSELF says prison motivated him and still does..

did he have that "work ethic" before he went to prison?

I am not trying to compete here and will not tell you about my life but I am sure it was as tough as anyone's and yet as Iceman says it will not give you any real advantage against a man with talent and skill in a boxing ring.
Calzaghe has had a normal life but it doesn't make him any less of a fighter.
You do not have to have a failed life to be successful and you can still be a tough son of a ***** without experiencing hardships.
Difference is some people are lucky enough not to face hardship.

i got my point expressed perfect by yourself scully....

We have to suppose that if u are a tough mo fo, no one is gonna be able to beat you in a ring? it would be good to explain to B-Hop how are things made for example ,in eastern Europe?

i train with an armenian kid at my gym and i can tell u that u would **** your pants only watching those scars, or the fact that he has a permantely injured hand because when he was a kid trying to find some food a MOFO told him that if he grabbed an iron´s stick from fire he would give him some food...and he doesnt claim to be "guetto" or "the most tough MOFO ever born"
and i can assure u that he is a real tough man...
