he should but Mayweather has the delahoya rematch in september, if not for that then yeah id rather see him fight Cotto now. but untill then Margarito and Cotto might as well get it on.

Oscar is taller/longer than Mayweather by a small margin, Mayweather is taller/longer than Cotto by a small margin. Mayweather is smaller than both guys though, and Cotto's chin is much better at Welterweight so far, and he's much better technically as a pressure fighter than Hatton, so I find it unlikely Floyd would KO him though winning by UD wouldn't surprise me. Cotto's jab is in its own way better than DLH's at this point imo, it's fast, powerful, and he uses it all the time(and Floyd honestly hasn't faced many guys with a good jab) so I think he would find the same success against Floyd with it.

All this said, the fight needs to get made to find out, and again, most indications are the problem is on Floyd's end, not Cotto's.

I didn't say that Cotto would have no problem with Floyd. I just said that Cotto's jab will probably be effective against Floyd, because Floyd really hasn't faced many guys with a good jab and those he has faced have been successful against him with it. But again, we won't know for certain because Floyd will be fighting Big Show and Oscar this year, and shows little indication that he'll make the fight after that, though there are signs that he'll rematch Hatton

The only thing that makes me think that Cotto has a chance to hurt him, is that he handled Zab's and Mosley's speed.
