My stance is that Powell should get his mandatory shot, thats what the mandatories are for. If Bundrage gets a shot, it should not be before Sechew Powell.

that volume punching bull**** doesn't work with k9. that's why they picked ouma, no real ko power.

the easiest way to beat k9, is to rush him early. once he establishes and identifies your angles, it's an uphill battle for most guys. you can tell how he will adapt and make changes in a fight very obviously.

but if you hit that mother****er early and hard like powell did, which isn't hard to do because his defense isn't great, you beat him with minimal struggle.

Terrance Cauthen is a fighter of note on Powell's resume. I also believe the Kassim Ouma we saw fight Sechew Powell was the best Ouma we ever saw. Spinks deserves to fight for his title, he beat Phillips in the ring, but the judges beat him outside it. I could care less about mandatories, there is no champion at 154 and the title fights are just two contenders trying to go up the rankings. Powell takes care of Phillips if they meet, and the judges probably won't beat the young New Yorker like they did Cory.
