Yes. Styles make fights, and while Mundine might beat Miranda, Miranda has a style and certain qualities that will give Kessler trouble. I think Kessler will win, but he'd have a fight on his hands.

What is Mundine's advantage over Kessler? Speed? No. Power? No. Chin? No. Kessler beat him once and Mundine has not improved enough since to suggest that the result would be any different next time around.



You should stop making assumptions like that. There are people here that know their stuff and people that don't, but you can't tell which is which based upon who they pick to win a fight between two top 10 guys.

Stop insulting everyone who disagrees with you. Most of us come here to discuss boxing with other fans, not to have some kid with a chip on his shoulder act like a know-it-all because of a simple difference of opinion.

Sam Soliman is a bigger KO win by Mundines name.

Soliman had never been knocked out before.

You have to be the most Euro biased guy I have ever seen. Mundine is a joke who refuses to mix it up with real fighters. Mundine has some good skills yes, but he is not fighting anyone world class. When he has, he lost.

I know Mundine is not from Europe, but you seem to love him since he is on Kesslers resume. We know you love Kessler. We get it. We really do.

You seem to favor your guys to fight within their own closed inner circuit. Alphabet Junior Titles and all. Believe it or not, the Miranda fight had fans lining up. Kessler gets cold feet and decides to rinse and repeat what he already did.

It's all garbage!! Kessler can go back to Europe and continue to fight his steady string of unknowns for an ABC title. Miranda, with all his limitations, will still please fans with his all out give and take style. It is a shame, I used to like Kessler.

Would rather see Kessler fight Miranda myself, but don't think that there is any doubt that he'll make quite a bit more fighting Mundine.

Also think Mundine is the much bigger threat.

Miranda's only real chance is hurting Kessler bad by landing a bomb, & finishing off Kessler when he's hurt.
He's a big puncher & dangerous, however Kessler has a very good chin as well as an excellent defence, so would put him at about 5 to 1 of winning comfortably.


I'd rate Mundine's chances at about 3 to 1 against.

Their previous fight was pretty close, with Kessler going up an extra gear when it counted, & Mundine not able to quite match him.
However, Kessler had a lot of trouble landing cleanly against Mundine, & Mundine does seem to have improved a bit.
Whether it's enough is the question, & personally I doubt it, but it's a very interesting matchup, & should be a good fight.


Would imagine that Kessler would be getting around a million for the fight.

Okay to put it simply. All this one punch power with Miranda is hogwash. Complete bll****. Who has Miranda knocked out? he went the distance with Allan Green. He has never knocked out a big name.

- Also he is seriously limited. His technique is poor, his speed is not that good. All he has to rely on is this unrealistic one punch power that he possesses, accroding to the American public.

He barely sc****s into my top 10.

- When comparing Mundine to Miranda, there is a total difference in class. Mundine has a lot better speed, his defence is a lot better. And im going to argue that he has the same one punch power that Miranda has. He has knocked out Sam Soliman, and i think he has a better chin than anyone Miranda has knocked out.

In this conclusion, i would have made the same argument for any other top 5 SMW.

Kessler has balls for taking on a much better opponent. This fight will be very close, unlike what the Miranda fight would have been.

Kessler has already beaten Mundine, if Kessler really wants to become a star in the US and make the most money, the first step is by fighting Miranda, fighting Miranda would lead to bigger fights for Kessler. Mundine is a step back for Kessler IMO.

I think you can't compare the two.
