I think its funny that he didnt mention to fight the winner of Dawson-Johnson.
If he mentions Woods-Tarver he also can mention Dawson-Johnson cause no one cares about Woods or Tarver these days. To me it seems Calzaghe only wants big money fights against has beens as hes no spring chicken himself anymore. But the winner of Dawson-Johnson is THE new man at 175 and it will propably be Dawson, so if Calzaghe wants to fight the best he has the fight the winner of this. Tarver is done but Johnson is as good as always i think. Jones is also way past it.

having said all that, i do believe jt is better than both kessler and lacy, and i wont even include manfredo in the convo. so would zags have lost the fights to jt? what makes you say NO?

Calzaghe Who? Dont believe the hype.

Can someone show me just one TOP 10 pound for pound fighter Joe Calzaghe has beat? Kessler is the only fighter in the TOP 50 who Calzaghe has fought. Do you think that has anything to do with his undefeated record? After all he makes fundamental mistakes like squaring up to his opponent and putting his head down after he throws combinations, leaving him wide open for an upper cut (for details see Calzaghe vs. Kessler on youtube.com). I seriously doubt Calzaghe can beat most of the TOP 10 Pound for Pound fighters Hopkins has beat. What you are looking at is a British fighter with an undefeated record whose only fought one decent opponent. Lacy was garbage. Kessler was a decent Class B maybe A- fighter. Its the undefeated record we are blinded by.. but Calzaghe will get exposed against Hopkins.

What I'm trying to say is that since Bernard and Joe made their oppnenots look average and they never really got a second chance because Bernard and Joe never left the division. Normally fighters who lose that go on to be sucessful was because the champ had moved up to another division.
No worries, I'm with you now.

if nothing happened most of the time, and one guy ends up outlanding the other guy, not to mention legitimately hurting him, who wins?

taylor was apprehensive for a reason, but he was far more aggressive early on in both fights for a reason. the argument i have is, it wasn't effective aggression, b/c hops landed the better shots still. a lot of ppl say hops definitely won the second fight, but i say he definitely won the first won, the second one was a lot closer, but hops was the champ (not really, but REALLY, if you know what i mean), and to take a belt from a champ, you should really have to "beat him." jermaine taylor has been exposed. he lost his last two. the fight with winky was a draw (which i had it), but you could easily argue winky won, and i didn't see the spinks fight, but from what i heard, that was a HUGE gift to JT. Then you look back on the hopkins fights...........
Say whatever you want. Fact is, Hopkins lost twice to a lesser-skilled guy than Joe Calzaghe. TWICE!

                P4P rankings don't mean ****.

Sure, we'll see if Calzaghe gets "exposed", and we'll bump this thread after the fight.

yea, if you wanna get technical, he lost. i'm just saying those are very disputed wins, and i know i'm not the only one. calzaghe is very fast, but he hasn't been in with good, proven competition. hops has fought world class fighters b4. zags, this will be his first. alot of ppl are in for a rude awakening. remember me april 20th bruh!
