And Hopkins. They both stayed and ruled the division. Omar Shieka is a good example of this.

Highly regraded prospect, but was blasted by Joe in 1. Then got better again only to get Koed in 6 making him look like a bum.

The guys Joe and Bernard fought never really had a chance to make a name for themselves at middleweight or supermiddle because there were both great fighters there.

he's gotta be..Hops did leave and is the KING of 175..

in all fairness to Joe he is leaving a lot sooner then Hops did and he MAY be the light heavy weight champ as well.
How may I ask? They both ruled for 10 years and Joe had a defense more then Bernard.

he is the light heavyweight champ and he started his career at 175, convict.
        No **** he's the 175 champ.

But he lost the first time at 175 and it looked like he fit better at Middleweight (at the time obviously). They were "7" classes apart from the start, but looking at it they were 1 away for a long period of time. And that difference was only 6 pounds.

Trinidad also had a convincing win at 160 and he looked like he fit in perfectly.

Win? My ass. I watched both those fights (again) last night... on SLOW MOTION.

Yes, it was painfully boring because most of the time nothing happened. Taylor looked a little apprehensive but there is no way he lost either fight. Hopkins had to headbutt jermain to try and give himself an advantage. Listen, when you have to resort to headbutting Jermain Taylor, something is wrong.

Would Calzaghe have lost those fights? Not in a million years.

Joe C better not be looking past B-Hop. The Pavlik fight would be ill as **** and I think he could beat Kelly at 168 but if he's thinkin Bernard is gonna be easy for him he's gonna get ****ed up come April.

I'm not sure what you're talking about. Sheika went 5 rounds with Joe. You're talking about Mario Viet?

Calzaghe has not fought fighter on TOP 10 Pound for Pound List.

Hopkins has fought 6 fighters who have been TOP 10 on the Pound for Pound list. SIX!

                1. Roy Jones
                2. Oscar Delahoya
                3. Tito Trinidad
                4. Jermain Taylor
                5. Antonio Tarver
                6. Winky Wright

How many TOP 10 Pound for Pound fighters has Calzaghe fought? ZERO.

So lets not talk about Calzaghe has as good a record as Hopkins. Hopkins has Class A Championship experience. Hes a legend. Calzaghe has a good record.
A good record will not beat a legend.

Yeah ****!! I get them confused a lot of the time

Even then Mario Veit was still 30-0 and looked to be good, but Joe ruined him.

What I'm trying to say is that since Bernard and Joe made their oppnenots look average and they never really got a second chance because Bernard and Joe never left the division. Normally fighters who lose that go on to be sucessful was because the champ had moved up to another division.

if nothing happened most of the time, and one guy ends up outlanding the other guy, not to mention legitimately hurting him, who wins?

taylor was apprehensive for a reason, but he was far more aggressive early on in both fights for a reason. the argument i have is, it wasn't effective aggression, b/c hops landed the better shots still. a lot of ppl say hops definitely won the second fight, but i say he definitely won the first won, the second one was a lot closer, but hops was the champ (not really, but REALLY, if you know what i mean), and to take a belt from a champ, you should really have to "beat him." jermaine taylor has been exposed. he lost his last two. the fight with winky was a draw (which i had it), but you could easily argue winky won, and i didn't see the spinks fight, but from what i heard, that was a HUGE gift to JT. Then you look back on the hopkins fights...........

Pavlik won't fight Calzaghe at super middle weight. That fights not happening which sucks for the fans, theres no way pavliks camp would go up in weight. They're ******* even though if they really believe pavlik could beat calzaghe then Pavlik could put a great name on his resume, but that name would be of a guy who would destroy him at super middle weight named Joe Calzaghe.
