There is no fighter out there with his ability. they dont know alfonso the sandwich maker gomez

I'm not saying he is uber-famous or anything but with the contender being shown all around the globe and the fight with Arturo Gatti, Gomez has made his name a fairly goods one. He isn;t super known but he does have a name worth a little

Alfonso is as much of a name as Baldomir is. Both had thier 15 minutes of fame off of one fight. Lets see how many seats they fill, or ppv's they sell if they both were to square off! LOL.

see, thats where the info contradicts itself. according to ESPN, Gomez was the "fan favorite". They said that numerous times even when they had that US vs. Brit ****.

Baldomir was a joke. Oscar isn't even a dedicated boxer anymore. I thought (or should i say "hoped) Hatton would've been more of a challenge, but his inability to deal with a C-class fighter in Luis Collazo, showed that Hatton is not suitable for 147. I have nothing but praise for Floyd when he was in the lower weight classes, but since 2002, he hasnt done anything overly extrodinary for him to have the praise that some of his fanboys give him.
AND HE IS STILL IN HIS PRIME..! WASTING IT ON THE BIG SLOW AND OSCAR DELA HOYA.

kid is straight scared of Cotto. period.

Well we watch him over here in the UK but i can tell you for a fact people were more interested in ishe smith/manfredo and ahmed Kuddour, Gomez was thought of has an underdog until he beats manfredo..Now am not trying to downplay his career or anything but it was only when he beat manfredo that people paid him any attention but he still wasnt the most popular or talked about fighter on the first series over here in England...That would be kuddour/Ishe smith
