so if he wasnt even the most popular fighter in the contender.. how popular is he in actual BOXING.

OK first off i want to say that slow is not the word i would use to describe Oscar De La Hoya (unless in reference to his footwork ) But, he is not as fast as he used to be so point taken my friend.

Now, as for Cotto. I do not understand him on ths becasue man that has fought Diego Corrales and Jose Luis Catillo, as well as fighting a much bigger man in Oscar, can not be afraid of Cotto. I do not think that any fighter os scared of another. However, i think he is afraid that Cotto will beat him and he will no longer be the best.

My other opinion is that he wants a lot of people to start really anticiting the fight, and really get them riled up by completly ignoring any questions about it. So when he takes the fight it will be really really big.

Take your pick of the two as to what you think. Peacem

and in this thread, another DOUBLESTANDARD was exposed and I'll let you guys go back and look at it.

someone in this thread made a case for Floyd fighting legit threats and challenges as to reasons why he took fights with bruseles and mitchell, YET Cotto cannot be held to the same standard regardless of the fact that he fought serious threats and WILL be fighting a REAL serious threat after Gomez?

                  thats ****ing ree****yaless

What made me laugh, was when Floyd said that his uncle roger was intefering with him and Oscar breaking thier first record!! LMAO. No way they even come close. I say they dont even break 1mil. This fight already has a very negative view from most of the boxing world. Imagine if Oscar doesnt look impressive against Steve Forbes. It will only make matters worst!
