I dont think Gomez is as known to the casual fan as some people here are making him out to be. Everytime somebody asks me when is Cotto fighting again, i tell them that he is fighting Alfonso Gomez on April 12th. Thier response is usually "who the hell is that". Once i explain to them that he was one of the guys on the contender, they then say "oh ok", but some still dont know who Gomez is.
