It's not easy defending your title 21 consecutive times.

Now, Pac is a close #3, tho. I don't argue with anyone who has him at #2, either, because, IMHO, they are very close. Pac has improved his defense and his right hand, which is a big factor to consider now. However, I did have Marquez winning the fight this weekend (by one point), so it's hard for me to justify having Pac over Joe when Pac squeaked by with a close decision win.

But to say that someone who doesn't have Pac at #2 doesn't know a thing about boxing is ridiculous.
Very well put my friend, green K for you. I won't argue with your opinion but I stand firm with mine.

Pac's latest win will probably put him at the top of my p4p list tbh, with Floyd's inactivity being a major factor.

I have to say i think p4p lists are overrated and too much stock is put in them.

it's really ridiculous. where did you have joe before the kessler fight? i remember most, if not all ppl here, except the brits probably, didn't even want to put joe in the top 10. and then shoot up to #2 after 1 fight? pac has been tearing thru HOFers for some time now and has been consistently at #2 on most experts list, the same cant be said for joe. sure he has skills, in fact, i like him and his style, but one has to be really turning a blind eye to pac if they put joe before him.

only British will make Joe @ number 2...

He doesnt beat any P4P so far...

His 20+ defesense would be devoured by Pac's achievement against Barrera, Morales & Marquez. period.

And they are not even close... I have Joe outside #5. And if I'm generous enough I will put him at #5.

I seriously like Pacquiao and rate him highly, I judge lb for lb based on if the fighters were the same weight and similar size and who would win that fight, on that basis I would pick Calzaghe, I agree that Pac has the better resume albeit with three losses but I feel as an all round fighter Calzaghe is the better man.

            We are talking fractions here.

You see this is what I thought pound for pound is.

So this makes it close in my eyes.

I think Calzaghe has more strings to his bow than Pacman, style wise Pacman would be perfect for Joe.

Put p4p Pacman has freakish power.

p4p is not about losses mate. It's not just skills too...

Its more about the level of opposition and beat them.

Pac moved many weigh classes while Joe is only at one division.

Joe's biggest win is against Kessler. Thats all.

Wrong, p4p is who would win if they could fight taking weight out of the equation. Meaning the p4p number 1 fighter could beat any other fighter around without weight unevening things.
