While I agree that Sugar Ray was at his best at welter, his middleweight record cannot be easily discounted either. And yes, Greb, Hagler, Monzon...
The midweights have often been referred to as the "Glamour Boys" of boxing; that was not so under Hopkins' reign (save for some glints brought by the appearances of Tito and Oscar, there was no sheen). Hagler had to get Leonard to add glitz to the division. Twas Robinson and company who brought and enjoyed the haydays; that's perhaps, also, why Robinson's name has always been factored into any reckoning of the division's best. Hagler and Hop have only their records to argue their cases.
