Mayweather is actually 5th on my list of favorite fighters. he was 3rd but after his announcement regarding the rematch, he dropped a couple of notches. anyway, the difference between you and me is i can see the fault in a fighter and accepted. in your eyes, Floyd can do no wrong. You're sad son. sad. We're still bestfriends for every right?

I don't think Floyd categorizes himself as the welterweight champion. Everywhere he goes, he is addressed as the p4p best fighter in the world. Like Hopkins at light-heavy, he just happens to be at 147. He wants big fights against great fighters regardless of their ranking. Is Cotto considered a great fighter right now?

Is B-Hop fighting top light-heavyweight contenders or young deserviing 175lb title holders like Chad Dawson? No he just fought the Top 3 (at that time) P4P fighter in Winky Wright and is about to fight another Top P4P fighter in Joe Calzaghe who is like Ricky Hatton is moving up in weight to fight the champion.

I don't know for a fact. All i know is, with Hopkins you can expect a competitive fight going to the scorecards. Dawson could do equally or little bit better then Jermain Taylor did.

Either way, he and his people would be worried once the 12th round is finished.

In all reality Cotto is not a household name & no one knows who he is outside of boxing, but on the flip-side Floyd is a SUPERSTAR!! If the fight was signed today it is a HUGE MEGA FIGHT...at least for Hardcore Fans & some casual fans, but say around this time next yr, if Cotto wins his next few fights (impressively) & gets more national exposure (advertising, other ventures out of boxing) & Floyd is still out there (undefeated) in the mix then the fight becomes A MUST SEE SPORTING EVENT!

It is a BIG difference between the 2 & Floyd understands the business of it! He is just simple waiting for Cotto to gain more "steam" so the risk will be worth the reward... Just for the record WHEN the fight comes off I got Mayweather by 11th T.K.O.
blahblahblahblah!!!!!!!! Excuses, excuses, excuses. I don't Know who fears Cotto the most, Floyd, or floyd's fans!!! E Z

I promise all of you, if Floyd wins the Oscar rematch, and Cotto doesn't lose this year, I GARUNTEE Floyd will fight Cotto.

You guys are so ****ing impatient.

Is that why he's rematching Oscar? A guy who lost 4 of his last 5 fights. Does that sound like a "great" fighter to you? Yes, Oscar WAS great in his day, but nowaday's, he's nothing more than a part-time fighter/promoter.

That's a pure money fight. He was gonna take a break but Oscar came calling. Who is Floyd to refuse the biggest money fight possible?

Cotto would take it it was offered to him.
