    Mayweather Is Not Ducking Cotto!

If Cotto really is "the man" to dethrone Mayweather, as many have alluded to then why not let Cotto keep fighting to gain exposure & experience? In all reality Cotto is not a household name & no one knows who he is outside of boxing, but on the flip-side Floyd is a SUPERSTAR!! If the fight was signed today it is a HUGE MEGA FIGHT...at least for Hardcore Fans & some casual fans, but say around this time next yr, if Cotto wins his next few fights (impressively) & gets more national exposure (advertising, other ventures out of boxing) & Floyd is still out there (undefeated) in the mix then the fight becomes A MUST SEE SPORTING EVENT!

It is a BIG difference between the 2 & Floyd understands the business of it! He is just simple waiting for Cotto to gain more "steam" so the risk will be worth the reward... Just for the record WHEN the fight comes off I got Mayweather by 11th T.K.O.

No one outside of the boxing community knew who Floyd Mayweather was before the De La Hoya fight either.. He wasn't a household name. What does that have to do with anything?

How about just fighting the best oposition in your weight class to prove you are the best? isn't that what boxing was all about back in the golden days?

Yup, now a days everything is about money.. I wish it was back to the days where sometimes fighters took a pay cut to increase their legacy knowing it would benefit their bank in the long run anyway... Money has become an excuse to duck fighters now a days, money should never be an excuse IMO.

So what is Floyd going to do then? Continue fighting Oscar until the next superstar emerges? Floyd has to stop riding the coat-tails of popular fighters, and learn to create his own fanbase.

But what's his weight class, people been saying he is a natural 135 lber, so if he went back there and cleaned out would you be impressed? But say if Juan Diaz went up to 154 wouldnt you just be impressed that he was beating good 154 lbers? Would you demand he fight the best at 154 or be marvelled he is even fighting there, 154 would be 19 pounds more, well Floyd started at 130, fights at 147 and fought once at 154, nobody cares huh, lets me know people just dont like Floyd, it really has nothing to do with boxing anymore.

Floyd wants to fight the bigger guys because thats where the money's at right? so your getting upset because people expect him to fight the best out of the divisions HE himself moved to fight in? that makes no sense at all.

How dare us ask Floyd to defend his title at WW, when he is the champ there. Shame on us for asking such a thing!

Don't give me that bull****.. Mayweather has developed into a natural welterwieght.. I guarantee you he couldn't make 135.
