Morales was already half way shot in the first Pac fight.. the fight itself, the one with Raheem and making weight finished him off.. It's hard to make a case about Morales being in his prime after having already been through so many wars and coming off a loss to someone he should've been able to beat fairly easily.

What hurt Morales most, was having to make that weight. For the last fight he had with Pac, he looked like he was being held hostage in a P.O.W camp. Of course he wasnt "prime" when Pac tore him up, but lets not act as if Morales was some washed up bum when Pac fought him.

What a joke. Raheem was just a bad style match up and Morales has no business at 135.

I can't believe how many people can criticize Pac's comp when Mayweather's is worse.

LOL I will think about it when he fights a true, unbeaten jr. lightweight, possibly under 30 years old.

Marquez is a 34 years old featherweight.

Barrera was a 33 years old featherweight with 68 pro fights and coming off a loss.

Solis was featherweight (in his prime too! but a nobody unfortunately)

Larios was a superbantamweight coming off a loss.

Morales was a featherweight coming off a lot of losses. In fact Morales only managed to beat Pac in the last 3-4 years.

          Velazquez was a featherweight.

Imagine if this was Mayweather's record the bashing that would be going on

LOL, You're bashing him for fighting a "34yr old" JMM, yet 98% of the boxing world was demanding this rematch. Who should Pac fight then?

yeah, to be rated the best, you have to be fighting the best out there. It's a shame too, because Pacquiao does have the talent.

Yeah and that 1 win came against Manny. And? You can see that Erik Morales can no longer physically do the things that made him a great fighter. No longer able to spin out with his legs and attack as he did in the past, no longer able to absorb shots (Both Raheem and David Diaz rocked him and they aren't punchers whatsoever), and his legs would give out to easy.

Are you foolish enough to say that "Oh, that was Prime Morales."????

Prime Pac vs prime Eric, there's no way Eric can match Pac speed and power, especially todays Pac version . Remember, speed can kill and power can change everything. As for example, see his fight against Sasakul (112), Lebwaba (122) and Barrera (126). These 3 are very very good fighters in there prime years when Pac fought them displaying his speed and power. Pac was not even prime on that time just one dimensional slugger. See how it changed everything.
I do admit that Pacquaio didn't look as strong in his first fight with Morales. I thought it was more coming up in weight against a bigger guy than the Winning gloves. The gloves don't make the puncher. I just think that at that time Morales had enough left in the tank to hold him off. With both at their primes, I'd have to say it's a pick'em fight. Honest.

99% of the time you don't just wake up a shot fighter. I don't know what you why you can't understand this. The man was very obviously on the downside of his career.

the demanding was going on for quite awhile... like when Marquez was a bit younger.

Pac should fight some junior featherweight, namely Joan Guzman who is unbeaten and dominating.

I see you dont have anything to say on the rest, good!

EDIT: I still think Pac-Marquez is a good fight, but far from enough to place Pac on top of any reasonable p4p list. Of course if you hate on the current p4p #1, then everything looks different throught biased goggles.

Joan Guzman, Soto...there are several other worthly featherweight opponents. He doesn't have to fight them all, just the top fighters. Pac has the skills to beat them all. Then he's PFP #1.
