We will have to wait and see but a fight with Paulie Malignaggi is a fight i'd like to see, and a stern test for Hatton, a 'tune up' after that isn't necessary if he wins in my opinion.

Hatton is a very proud man and will face Witter but in my opinion is saving it for his last fight.

The reason this fight isn't being demanded worldwide is that Witter never had the ambition to become the man. If I were Witter, blessed with a decent amount of talent and with enough experience to make a go of it, I would be calling out Hatton, Malignaggi and Torres. I'd be looking to unify, not just bitching at the same guy I'd been bitching at since he won the British title. That's Witter's problem. He's forever been in Hatton's shadow but he has never once made an attempt to step out from that shadow. He's just complained about it.

In a way a fight with Hatton would ruin Witter, win or lose. Without having Hatton he's on his own, whereas now he can blame his lack of success on Ricky.

That is a really poor excuse, Witter would never be able to step out of Hatton's shadow even if he fights Hatton today and KO him in one, Nobody ranked high at 140 would fight Witter when Hatton(Payday) is around NOBODY...Hatton is the number one guy and who best for the number 2 guy to fight and prove he is better than the number 1 guy?

And if you believe that the only reason Hatton is ducking Witter is because of him not wanting to give Witter a payday then you lose all credibility for me.

Its that obvious now even the media are acknowledging it... I wouldn't be surprised if fans actually boycott this fight, his dad was in the M.E.N stating that hatton is set to lose £1 million due to fighting over here, he could of easily pulled back that extra £1 million fighting witter. Its what the fans wanna see, Ezno & Haye got it on for the fans Hatton should take a leaf outta their book but instead he thinks he's the british De La Hoya - its pitiful!

Maybe it would make more sense to fight Malignaggi instead of Junior or maybe Junior would do the smart thing and try for a unification fight and try to force the issue.

Well we would wait and see, I repeat NOBODY would fight Witter at 140 when Hatton is around the corner, Paulie would rather fight Hatton than risk fighting Witter, Torres would rather milked his belt rather than fight Witter...Even Rees would rather wait to get a fight with Hatton rather than try to unify, Hatton hold all the cards at 140 not only is he the MAN at 140 he also the PAYDAY at 140...So Witter has NO choice but to fight Mandatories.
