Totally understandable, BUT he's openly stated that Witter doesn't come into any of their immediate plans...

This fight is his tune up fight then he's off to the states to fight paulie, then he'll need another tune up fight then and only then the hatton camp will see witter as an option BUT he'll still be contracted to HBO to fight in the states Witter Hatton doesn't make sense in the states... it could be very marketable and profitable over here (in UK) by being billed in the same manner as the Haye Enzo fight...

These two should of met at least 5 years ago and now it doesn't even look like its gonna happen in 08... by the time they eventually meet it wont be half the fight it could be.

This is the guy that claims he fight for the people but wouldnt give the people the fight they have been begging for 8 years now.
In this case "The People" consists of Junior Witter, Junior Witter's trainer and Junior Witter's manager. Witter makes sense now for the first time, but Hatton is having a tune up, and a decent tune up as well. When Judah lost to Tszyu his comeback tune-up was Omar Weis. Trinidad's follow up to his KO loss to Hopkins was Hasine Cherifi. Frazier fought Joe Bugner after his loss to Foreman.

Taking an easier fight following a big loss is commonplace.

Come on Squeal, your an open Hatton fan, what is your honest opinion regarding the witter hatton situation?

Tune up fight is more than acceptable, but having the tune up fight over here only means one thing, his next fight will be in the states therefore it won't be against witter... If he fights paulie next then we'll have the same excuse again he needs to have a tune up fight by which time the fight won't even be relevant...

I think Witter should just give up on this fight and admit that he's been ducked by our so called "peoples fighter that fights for his fans".

My personal recommendation is that if you're going to do something dumb like using a fighter's own statements against him then say he's always bull****ting in your very next post, try not to do them in the same thread or let someone else put in a reply between the two.

Im not over impressed with Lazcano but the worst thing is Ricky bull****ting us fans again.

Im fighting in the UK a 10pm for the fans then we find out its on ppv not regular Skysports.

WTF? Lazcano got beat handily by Harris who got sparked in his next fight by Witter.

I understand its a gimmie fight to try and capture some pre-Tyszu form but its bs that its PPV.

I believe Hatton when he says that he just doesn't want to pay this clown. Aside from that, sure, I'd like to see Hatton shut Witter up.

The reason this fight isn't being demanded worldwide is that Witter never had the ambition to become the man. If I were Witter, blessed with a decent amount of talent and with enough experience to make a go of it, I would be calling out Hatton, Malignaggi and Torres. I'd be looking to unify, not just bitching at the same guy I'd been bitching at since he won the British title. That's Witter's problem. He's forever been in Hatton's shadow but he has never once made an attempt to step out from that shadow. He's just complained about it.

In a way a fight with Hatton would ruin Witter, win or lose. Without having Hatton he's on his own, whereas now he can blame his lack of success on Ricky.
