Kessler has beaten a long list of solid SMW contenders/champions.

No big victories yet but atleast he is looking for one by fighting Calzaghe and possibly Taylor.

My guess would be that Miranda is not the dude Kessler wishes to fight, maybe he prefers fighting Jermain Taylor since that has been in the works..

But for real, how much sense does it make to go fight Calzaghe in his own backyard, risk losing your undefeated record and your 2 world titles, he did that... so why wouldn't he fight a bum in Miranda.. I just can't see it.

Miranda's managers are know for making publicity grabbing inflammatory statements. I'm a little skeptical to say the least.

It is one sided. No doubt. On the flip side it was also pretty biting. If Kessler doesn't respond and forcefully he will not look good. European fighters are especially vulnarable to the ducking charge. Whether fair or not th perception is there.

I hope this fight happens. It would be a fun bout.

after his first loss no one should expect him to fight a puncher like miranda. let him have a tune up before fighting the bigger names

He has NOTHING else lined up. At least not with HBO or Showtime.
There is no reason for him not to take this fight. It was offered for very very fair money. Kessler knows that one punch from Miranda could ruin his career. He wants no part of him.

                Keep talking.

I just don't see why Kessler should fight Miranda .. If he loses to his next opponent which likely could be Winky Wright or Jermain Taylor, THEN I can see him fighting Miranda.

Losing to Calzaghe is more impressive than knocking out David Banks.

What a fight this would of been! What the hell is wrong with Kesler? I havent heard anything about J.T wanting to fight Kesler, from what I hear it's either Roy jones or Trinidad next for Taylor.

True. But losing to Pavlik is no shame either, especially with the weight problems.

At 168lbs, we are seeing Miranda has some sick power. I really think that is why Kessler is jumping on his bike and not turning back.

So far the news I have checked the internet for this story and so far the only source I can find to it is Mr. Motor Mouth Miranda himself.
