This is a message board full of boxing fans with different opinions. Which means we talk about issues in boxing. I got my opinion out there which is debatable. It's a fair question, Is Floyd waiting for Cotto to become Great? I explained my reasons why I think that is and we talk about.

Either it's not pointless or all of this is pointless and we should stop exchanging opinions on boxing, waisting our time on this forum.

It's not pointless if you read the message behind it. And the message is, look behind the money issue and Floyd being a *****. There is other factors involved. I don't think anybody put it the way I put it.

Incoherent rambling by Floyd fans who cry out loud with their threads are annoying to me as well. This thread was not one of those...sorry. I know it makes it easier for people like you to downplay my message by pretending it is another ****** Floyd thread but it's not.

There are some valid points in this thread. If Floyd had fought Hatton several years ago, it would not have been nearly as big a fight, would not have meant as much at the time, and would not have done as much for his wallet or legacy. Floyd could have fought Cotto back at 140, ditto.

The risk here is that Cotto might lose in the meantime, and there really isn't anyone else that will generate the same kind of interest, at least from pure boxing fans.

Leonard did things very similar although against better comp.

It is possible that Floyd is waiting for Cotto to lose so he won't have to fight him or at least become less of a fighter and then fight him. He'll still be a big name but would possibly be slipping. With Cotto's style he won't last long in the fight game.
