Reread the main post of this thread and you will find your answer if you're bright enough.

Why not? Roy Jones Jr was fighting at HW with success at 34. This extra time is helping Floyd grow into the division as it were. Obviously he's a lot bigger now than when he was fighting at 130.

He clearly swapped the names around, therefore not repeating what he said earlier.

              .....Just sayin'.

Actually, no. Because it will happen too late if ever. Floyd is not your average boxer and he does praise his legacy (over money? - the big question mark here) and seems to takegood decisions in his career. If i know floyd he won't take this fight if he's older than 31. A good interesting fact to dig up is "how many welterweight champions retained their tittles when defending against solid young contenders and at what age?". I'm sure Floyd knows his statistics but so does Cotto's camp and that's why they are trying hard to get this fight.

Meanwhle it gives Cotto time to do just what I said in my orignal post. Cotto is supposed to be younger up and coming more active fighter. He now has an extra year to clear out the division of the not-so-great fighters out there like Margarito/Cintron.

Will he do it? That's the question. If he does do it, then there is no question as to who Floyd should and must face after O$car.
