i see you edited.....and youre still wrong...no way he was winning..he was turning the tide but wasnt winning and got stopped anyway...all this overrating of vazquez is getting annoying...especially after hearing all the money he got compared to marquez when izzy has made his name off of these fights...while marquez was already an established fighter with victories over HOF'ers...i was more surprised by marquez overcoming a terrible styles match up honestly even if i did have vazquez winning....Comment

Marquez is a great fighter I just think Vazques is the guy that has his number and the power to hurt him repeatedly, although he takes much damage in doing so.i see you edited.....and youre still wrong...no way he was winning..he was turning the tide but wasnt winning and got stopped anyway...all this overrating of vazquez is getting annoying...especially after hearing all the money he got compared to marquez when izzy has made his name off of these fights...while marquez was already an established fighter with victories over HOF'ers...i was more surprised by marquez overcoming a terrible styles match up honestly even if i did have vazquez winning....Comment

yep he has his number....doesnt mean he is better....
rafa is much more established career-wise, a smaller man and vazquez is a fighter whose style exploits most of marquez' weaknesses...like i said im more impressed with the fact that marquez still gave hell to vazquez and actually beat him and stopped him once....and almost won the trilogy...Comment

Definantly, for bein smaller, Marquez put a beating on Vasquez in each fight.
Again, not taking anything away from Israel, it's just I think Marquez is not only better, but capable of so much more then what Vasquez is capable of. But Vasquez is just a throwback tough guy, he'll willingly take your best and still walk you down for the entire 12. He did it against Larios and Gonzalez. I mean that Gonzalez fight was litterally the reason why I didn't want Marquez takin Vasquez on so soon, that fight basically showed what Israel was made of. lol ****in guy has a brain made of leather or somthin, he'll eat a shot and just keep comin.Comment

im so tired of hearing"if vazquez nose wasn't broken" Rafa ****ing broke it!,but yeah i believe Rafa is still the better man,i still like izzy thoughComment

I think Marquez is the better all around fighter as well, Vazquez' size made a difference as well as his heart, determination and will to win but Marquez is the better fighter, better offense, defense, counterpunching etc. Vazquez just finds ways to ultimately win.Comment

What a way to rob Izzy of his victory.
Izzy already proved that he is the better fighter and Rafa moving is just excuse to rob him of that. its like the pac fans using him moving up for the loss to MOrales. Rafa was feasting on guys physically smaller than him at bantams, everyone always said that he was a huge bantam. Rafa finally stepped up to someone that equaled him physicaly and he got beat by the better fighter. Izzy and Rafa matched up perfectly in size and at their peak and Izzy came out as the better fighter. No excuse Israel Vazquez was and is the better of the 2 fighters.

bull****, he didnt want no more in the 12th.I mean he came up in weight for this trilogy and still managed to make Vasquez look like somthin out of a horror flick each time out, he even managed to carry his power up to super bantamweight and break Vasquez's skull in the first fight. Skill-wise, he's beyond Israel and I think he's had a far better career. His only real flaw as always, has been his stamina, defense, and shakey chin. He could be rattled at bantamweight, but he didn't need to utilize nearly as much headmovement as he desperately needed for these bouts with Vasquez because he would just eventually smash through his opponents.
I really didnt think it was smart of him and his team to take on Vasquez as soon as he came up, I remember before the first fight that I felt it's going to go either way. He really needed to test the waters at super bantamweight before takin on a Vasquez, he needed to feel a big punch at this weight, he needed to see what it feels like when he fades at this weight in order to know that he has to pace himself better (wich he actually did in this 3rd fight), and he just needed that experience. If he would have got it sooner, I really doubt he would have tried to out muscle Vasquez in their first two fights.
Not takin anything away from Vasquez, he's always been strong, always ate alot of punches, and always been a workhorse type fighter. Takin punches just to give his own. But Marquez, the fact he's far better, far more skilled, far more accomplished...To see him fall victim of bad decision making by his team, he really doesn't deserve that. The dude was top 10 p4p easily, and you saw that. I mean he rocked Vasquez like 3 times in this third fight, even knockin him down. It's just they put him in there against someone who was just too big for him. I think he deserves better handling then that, I'm not sayin these fights shouldn't have takin place, but they shouldn't have taken place so soon.
Anyways, Marquez still has a jab that can turn human skin to ground beef and a right hand that can decapitate. So he's still got some moves to make. I'd like to see him stay at super bantamweight, maybe take what he's learned and see how far it gets him and eventually, come back for one more against Vasquez.
Vas! Vas! Vas!Comment
