i think berto will be the bigger star, i can see them both having good careers. i just hope they actually will fight the right fights when they start becoming more known. i think berto really needs to work on his defensive skills though. some more expercience and training will do him good though i can see he becoming a star in a couple years. maybe not right away though. i really havent seen ward box yet so i cant say much.

Ward looks like a super welter in that pic, not like a super middleweight.
Berto is much more entertaining right now, he always looks like "what you ***** looked at my girlfriend?"

Yes, once each fighter has their first "tough" challenge we can see where they stand. But, I will say they BOTH are promising prospects. Ward has taken a huge step up in competition with this upcoming fight versus Rubin Williams. I think that will bring some clarity as to where he stands as a future star of the sport.

I want to see Berto work on his defense more. Offensively, he is good. Throws a good stiff jab, nice right hand. His biggest shot is probably his right hook (but he has power in both hands) He looks so much bigger than 47 and the kid can craaaaaaccccckk!

Ward is a pure boxer. He can punch as well. He looks very small for a SMW, but he can hold his own. I mean the kid fought light heavyweight in the Olympics and won the gold, so he can box!

Tune in on the 20th of this month for Ward's bout with Rubin Williams...

Ward is workin his way up. I'm goin March 20th down to San Jo to see my boy fight. Dude is gonna kill in the division, no doubt and he is still real young. Watch out for Andre Ward still undefeated and still classy.

I think Berto is better right now, and will be in the future. Both of them need to step up the competition to tell for sure.

Berto will be one of the most fun boxers for a while. I don't think he's really among the very best prospects, but he's guaranteed to produce excitement. Offensively he is outstanding right now
