Berto is not very skilled at all, just a very good athlete where as Ward is too and versatile in what he does in a slick way while Berto looks extremely clumsy to me.Comment

[QUOTE=COACH WEBB;3185498]I like to look at the future of boxing. Two BIG future stars are Andre Ward and Andre Berto. These two fighters had very impressive amateur careers. In the year 2004, they both fought in the Olympic Games. Andre Ward was the only boxer to win a gold medal from the 04 USA team (at light heavyweight). He was the first one to win the gold for America in 8 years. On the other hand, Berto fought out of his native Haiti. He end up losing his first round fight.
With that being said and where they are right now, who do you think is better right now, and who do you think will have the better career (even though they fight at two different weight classes)?
discuss....
/QUOTE]
I think Ward is the more polished and proven fighter at this point. But that could change if Berto makes some big moves.Last edited by Calilloyd; 06-20-2010, 06:24 PM.Comment
