Ward stepped up and fought the #1 168lber and beat him soundly.
Berto still has holes in his game, and Ward is starting to let his hands go a little, but he also needs to be careful. Kessler missed a good amount of opportunities to counter.
Berto's got his version of Ward's shot in January against Mosley. Let's see how he responds.Comment

Ward has just beaten the man widely considered the best at 168!!He did it looking far superior too!!Berto has looked questionable against Collazo & maybe because I feel that Collazo won,I'm a little bias!!But all in all we'll see what Berto's made of when he gets inside the ring against Mosley come January!!Comment

I like to look at the future of boxing. Two BIG future stars are Andre Ward and Andre Berto. These two fighters had very impressive amateur careers. In the year 2004, they both fought in the Olympic Games. Andre Ward was the only boxer to win a gold medal from the 04 USA team (at light heavyweight). He was the first one to win the gold for America in 8 years. On the other hand, Berto fought out of his native Haiti. He end up losing his first round fight.
With that being said and where they are right now, who do you think is better right now, and who do you think will have the better career (even though they fight at two different weight classes)?
discuss....
