    Berto or Ward?

I like to look at the future of boxing. Two BIG future stars are Andre Ward and Andre Berto. These two fighters had very impressive amateur careers. In the year 2004, they both fought in the Olympic Games. Andre Ward was the only boxer to win a gold medal from the 04 USA team (at light heavyweight). He was the first one to win the gold for America in 8 years. On the other hand, Berto fought out of his native Haiti. He end up losing his first round fight.

With that being said and where they are right now, who do you think is better right now, and who do you think will have the better career (even though they fight at two different weight classes)?

      Berto is better right now.

To this point Berto has gotten alot more exposure on the big stage. Berto has been featured on some big cards. I don't know who manages him or promotes him, but they are positioning him for a bright future. Ward is taking a step up in his next fight and I believe an impressive victory will turn some heads. The way its going now, I believe Berto will become champion before Ward, but you never know in this sport. Skill wise, I like Ward. But that Berto can craaaaaccccckk!!!

i think ward has more potential we pretty much know what berto is about i think he will be a champ but i dont think he will be all too great.
wards had questions about his chin but there have been great fighters with bad chins that just never got KO'd. anyways i dont necessarily believe what they say about his chin because i've never seen the actual KD.

Ward sucks and Berto will be exposed once he steps up and stops fighting midwestern tomatoe cans.

I think Ward has alot of potential. He just needs to fight more often.

Right now , Berto is better.

                  Wow, good question...

I really like both fighters a lot. I think Berto is better right now but Ward could be better. I think a lot of questions will be answered when Ward steps up in competition.

I am still wondering what is with all the Ward hate. He seems likea solid prospect to me, they both have plenty of potential.
