Who was the most technically sound boxer to lace up gloves?

if i were a trainer, from what i've seen of him (i'm only 21, so just the old fights on espn classic, etc.) i'd make my fighters watch floyd patterson videos. he was very technically sound. hands up. good jab. good upper body movement. fairly light on his feet when he wanted to be. good combinations. good natural athletic ability.
i'm not ranking him as pound for pound best or anything. but from a technical standpoint he was very solid in all areas (again, from what i've seen).Comment

i dunt know man. i still think sweet pea was just a pure boxer.. ducking, and dipping.. he had a good arsenal and a great jab..
in the JCC fight, it was masterful, like he would literally just box circles around JCC..
i guess i can agree with the posters that said he was awkward..Comment
