    Willie Pep was technically sound.

He didn't have the best chin, the biggest heart, size, strenght, destructive power, athleticism but he had the kind of technique and experience that only a few other fighters had.

Whitaker put on boxing displays in his prime but he was too unorthodox for most to consider him one of the most technically sound fighters of all time.

Ray Robinson and Joe Louis have the greatest punching technique IMO, short, fast, powerful punches, not sure if that is the question though.

They both got away with some mistakes they did because of their power, chin, heart, recuperative powers, etc.
Pep didn't really have any of that.

Ricardo Mayorga and/or Edison Miranda...fine examples of pugilistic perfection!

I sincerely believe Floyd is the most technically sound textbook fighter I have seen...

Theres nothing unorthodox about how he fights...

Forget his resume, his so called ducking, his so called overratedness...

When he steps in the ring.. Floyd is truly the most technically sound textbook fighter Ive seen....

mayweather jr, bar none. i have made a thread about why he is the most fluent fighter of the past 4 decades, and it was long as ****, but i gave many reasons why, he is without a shadow of a doubt the most technically sound fighter i have ever seen.
