I still think peter has an above average chin when in shape,,but wlad wasnt completely following through when he threw his right hand in that fight. manny had him focused on just scoring points. had he thrown his right with full force it may have been a different story

If you're talking about Wlad, Peter clearly lost that fight.

he didnt punish julius long either, he hit him with a glancing blow and long collapsed out of fear and took the count. probably the worst televised dive of the year.

I read that Long had a broken jaw going into the fight, that's why he went down the way he did.

He had nothing else going on at the time, and he needed the money for the jaw.

Peter's got great tolerance to straight shots. Wlad smacked him with straight right bombs and sledgehammer jabs and Peter wasn't particularly bothered by them. Towards the end of the fight, when Klitschko hooked him for the first and only time, turning that head....****.....he was Zab Judah the second. While not noted for huge punching, Jameel lifts Sams head violently and ****, he hits the deck flat out for KD number one. Peter's head was turned violently by successive looping and glancing shots and stayed on ***** street, suffering 2 more knock downs. If Maskaev has one good punch, its his left hook. I remember it sounding like a gun going off when it hit Rahmans gloves during HR v OM II. Someone who was at that fight mentioned they heard those hooks from the back row. It's much more powerful than Peters ugly clubbing slow looping arm punch **** as it is thrown from the big O's hips and has much speed, snap and power generated in it. Peter is going down, guarantee it, as he doesn't have the beard to take Maskaev's left hook and will be too jiggily to take Oleg out before he eats a couple. Expect a complete Irish tap dance finale before faceplanting out cold, only to be revived by emergency cheeseburger injections at the scene.

Maskaev might have a temperamental chin, but its not a Wlad league chin and it'll see him out of this fight with fatty bolo puncher. As much as we've seen him KO'd by Lance Wittaker jabs (?!), he's also taken some decent shots and not gone down. His biggest enemy is his talent for losing concentration down the stretch and eating bombs flush, but seems to have this kinda sorted. McCline does not have the snap of even a 38? year old Maskaev and the big O is quite an improved fighter after the success of the last few years. I predict Oleg by KO, probably early as the big O gets puffed early these days.
