vitali and peter will likely be a much better fight i think and if wlad tried to fight peter now hed likely get stripped on the WBO

even if vitali comes back and wins he likely will only have 1 or 2 more fights, at which point, if wlad has unified the other 3 belts... wlad vs peter for the vacant WBC with complete unification on the line would be a huge fight

Let's not forget that Maskaev doesn't exactly have a sturdy chin himself (KO'd by McCall, Goofi Whitaker, Kirk Johnson, Corey Sanders, Tua).

Peter was knocked down by McCline but McCline has hurt a bunch of other guys too, he just can't finish his opponents when they are hurt.
The uppercut was what really got Peter and Maskaev's best punch is the overhand right.

im just saying that if peter comes in 10 pounds heavier than his last fight and maskaev shows up at his optimal weight, im gonna throw at least 50 bucks at oleg knocking him off.

i rate maskaevs chances as being significantly better than sultans were against wlad.... and maskaev is a much bigger underdog.

Peter needs to take this opportunity to put his name back in the bigger picture. Both Pavlik and Klitschko failed to finish their men these last two weeks, so Peter can steal a bit of their attention by turning Old Oleg's lights out quickly.
