His performance WAS very impressive - he won by KO! Please tell me, what exactly does he need to do?

He adjusted to his opponent's awkward style after a few rounds, many others had failed to do so (Thompson had won 27 consecutive fights). He KOed an opponent who had never been knocked down before.

Thompson is rubbish, Wlad is the best of a bad bunch. He's a solid fighter who doesn't like to exchange.

In Ali and Lewis's eras he would be relagated to a Tommy Morrison like position, it's not a knock on him. He was GOOD yesterday against an average opponent, he dominated but Thompson was rubbish. He put on a dominating but not exciting performance yesterday against an average opponent. If he puts a dominating performance on Valuev, Chagaev or Peter then his stock will rise. Right now it's remaining stagnant.
