I should have the thread with heavyweight weight limit instead i think, instead of height limit.

but also think, out of many big HWs these days, how many are really that good...

first to mind of the big HWs:

        Shannon Briggs
        Jameel McCline
        Vitali K
        Wladimir K
        N Valuev
        Tye Fields
        Andrew Golata
        Michael Grant

How many of them actually really flourished?

Shannon Briggs - tires out and won't be a factor
Jameel McCline - stepping stone, loses to Ruiz and small Byrd and Brock
Vitali K - keeps getting injured, but is skilled and tough
Wladimir K - is around because he IS skilled and not 270lb of bulk
N Valuev - is just freakishly huge, but has shown some skill
Tye Fields - fluff "workmen like" puncher who will be stopped soon
Andrew Golata - you know the rest
Michael Grant - you know the rest

So being big hasn't exactly been a HW's best friend in all cases...Wlad has been on stop because of his still...nor does he fight like a big lumbering giant...he even weighed in 238 for his next fight...he may put on weight by fight time tomorrow...but he didn't weigh in at liker 260 due to a lack of training and just "getting by" on his size alone...

being big doesn't help Brigg's chin, doesn't help McCline's lack of killer instinct and conditioning, doesn't prevent Vitli from getting injured, doesn't make Tye Fields a dangerous monster, doesn't help Golata be mentally stable and doesn't give Grant a chin...

Just like Paul Williams...people said William's is too big and should be fighting at MW or SMW...that he would beat ANY WW based on his height and reach alone...well he doesn't fight or deliver punches the way you'd expect a big guy like him to do..therefor a smaller fighter like Quintana can take advantage of that

I think in a lot of cases, size is just an accent to your skill or lack of

Yes that would be a bit more realistic. A new super-heavyweight division. But even know the division is verry weak, if they make a new division it would be even weaker and i dont like the idea. I think they should raise the cruiserweightlimit to 220 pounds.

you cant say that really. wlads genetics means he is incredibly tall, strong and muscly (although im sure he works very hard in the gym to maintain the latter). If your going to make a dumb statement like that you might aswell say there should be restrictions on speed (mayweathers genetic make up means he is incredibly fast) and power (take Roberto Duran, almost superhuman strength).

I never thought he would be this big...
and as far as im concerned,it is just way too big for a fighter to be fighting with other heavyweights!
it puts other smaller HW's at a huge disadvantage..
The thing is , the bigger you are, the less skill you can afford to have.valuev -being a classic example.
Size these days, really compensates for your lack of skill.
Not saying he Wlad is not skillful, but its pathetic to see a giant like him fighting much smaller fighters.
I dont give any fighter who is that big, credit for beating up on much smaller guys.
                  It 's a damn circus.
                  the guy is absolutely massive.
i give him absolutely no credit for beating other fighters..
wlad, vitali, lewis, michael grant, tony tucker, tyrell biggs, kevin mcbride, mitch green, these guys are way too big...mcbride im sure would have had trouble if he was the same size as Tyson.
I think there should be a height limit, of maybe 6'3, 6'4 max.
I dont see what's so skillful about a huge guy with a longer reach, looking down on somebody else and beating him up..

                  this isnt very smart

Lets make 3 height regulations per weightclass, this means about 150 world champions and the saction bodies will get a lot more money :/
