Seriously, size allone dont win you fights. Valuev lost to chagaev whos only 185cm, and he also got gift decisions against Donald and Ruiz.
I just thing this is a bull**** thread!! If the guys are to small for heavyweight they should lose weight and fight at cruiser. But guys like Byrd or Chambers are natural cruisers but fight at heavyweight and especially Byrd had some verry good wins even though hes so small, so size means nothing.
    size means nothing?? yea ok...
how can u even say that??
if you have height . reach and weight advantage over somebody, that means nothing??
valuev came so close to breaking marciano's record..
    jeez, i wonder why........

Yes but he fought bum after bum in his first 40 fights. Byrd could have done that too if he faced this opponents. In fact, a prime Byrd who faced all opponents that Valuev faced until today would still be unbeaten!

            that's exactly what it's become .
the heavyweight division getting bigger and bigger.
size to make up for your lack of skill.

Boxing is not just about the Sugar Ray's out there. Marciano was not much short of a brute in his day (49-0 [43KO]) similar to Valuev, knocking out almost everyone he fought. I dont see your point.

a lot of heavyweights fight bums and journey mans.
how can you say he fought bums?
so your attributing his winning record because he fought bums, not because of his size??

What would Valuev do to a prime Tyson? He would never hit him!! Tyson would win a UD or knock Valuev out late. Tyson vs. Wlad would be more difficult but i would still pick Tyson to win. Tysons combination of power AND speed is legendary.

Of course!! Had he any quality opponent in his first 40 fights?? So YES, his winning record has nothing to do with his size but with the OPPOSITION he had!! Dont you get that into your brain or what?
