Cotto aint gonna get Mayweather by fighting actual contenders that the general public aint heard of remember? Beating Mosley wasnt enough. Floyd and his disciples want Cotto to raise his marketing stock right? So why not fight a contender "star" who the general ESPN public actually knows, then Margarito who the HISPANIC public knows and then Mayorga who the HBO Boxing plublic knows? whats wrong with that?

Why fight Clottey now? It doesnt make sense either. Clottey didnt earn his shot at Cotto. Hes Cintron's mandatory idiot, not Cotto's. Cottos mandatory is a bum. I would prefer Cotto-Gomez. I think Cotto-Gomez will be more exciting than Cotto-Clottey. I think Cotto-Gomez is a better set up for a possible Cotto-Margarito fight.
