Better opponent, Alfonso Gomez or Josh Clottey?

Im as much of a Cotto fan as u are, but lets not make Gomez out to be some wrecking machine now. I would much rather see Cotto fight Clottey.

Im not really sure. I would favor Clottey but Gomez has a shot. Clottey wont trade with Gomez her will cover up and block then shoot counters. I dont think Gomez has the power to wear him down. It would be an interesting fight. I think Clottey would probably win. But like someone else stated, Gomez could possibly outwork Clottey.

I think clottey is the better fighter or atleast is percieved the better fighter because he has fought the better opposition and hasn't been given a chance to fight to his full effectiveness being that he broke his hand and was DQ'd.

Clottey is the better opponent and by quite a bit, Gomez doesn't deserve this shot he might be a good fighter but he doesn't deserve it.

Im assuming you meant Clottey is not stationary. He will stand in front of you and cover up. Cotto would rip him with body shots until he broke down. What is Clotteys claim to fame?

clottey style is similar to winky. claim to fame is winning more than 20 damn fights? two of the lost were not right. and i'm not made at cotto for fight gomez, i think he needs a easier fight.. but the bad thing is i think anybody has a chance against cotto, its just can you finish him off once he's hurt

The Contender didn't make Gomez famous that is bull****. **** the Gomez fight is what it is and that is a keep busy fight. No need to try and hype this fight. I don't like this fight or the PBF rematch fight. Both are wastes of time. I agree with you on Clottey getting tired but Clottey is better than Gomez easily.

Look at Clotteys fights until his fight with Richard Gutirrez (a fight I thought Clottey lost). Look at the guys he won against. Having more than 20 wins against them guys is a claim to fame? He was fighting absolute bums. While Gomez was fighting guys like Feliciano, Smith, and Manfredo. What a ****** statement you made, Seriously that the best you could do? Look up Clottey's oppnents. Im sure many fighters could have over 20 wins against that comp.
