ony careers hopkins has ruined are of those who never really were relevent. only one he can really claim that he ****ed up was Tarver. De LA Hoya, Taylor, and Jones did pretty good for themselves after he fought them now didnt they? And those are the names that really only matter on resume. I guess we just have to wait to see how Winky does.

    ruin careers..

eastman may not be a bum lik hatton but the whole point is that hopkins didn't ruin him he just fought a close fight with duddy and i also thought the fight with him and bernard was close

As for the Kessler fight, he willed his way to a win moreso than winning it thru a skill set. Im inclined to think Kessler pretty much thought he'd be able to walk calzaghe down thru sheer punching power & youth. There was no real game plan implemented for their bout
no body seems to understand that

first off nobody is knocking bernard for dominating his weight class but i'm not going to praise him for dominating a bum ass division either.
kessler is an elite fighter at the super middleweight division delahoya and trinidad are elite welterweights wright an elite junior middleweight.calzaghe has actually fought an elite fighter in his division and won as for hopkins he has lost to his elite middleweights
joe division was no different...you really think kessler elite? the elite fighter that b-hop lost to was roy jones and taylor is far from elite. just cause you win a belt and defend it couple times don't make you elite. please tell me what elite is?

kessler would beat both hopkins and taylor and no i don't consider taylor to be an elite fighter but he is the best competition bernard had faced since jones

Hopkins seems to have destroyed Wright's career 6 months ago, Winky can't seem to land a big fight these days and has gone from top 10 p4p straight down overnight.

but if you go through hopkins resume and look from bottom to top, you'll see that hopkins has retired 9 or so fighters and most of the others that have lost to or even won (taylor) never really got back on a winning side of their game. they never fought with the same intensity after fighting hopkins. no lying.

only a couple of fighters have resumed their career and have gone on to do good, and the list is small.

anyone remember joe lipsey????? undefeated joe lipsey, who never stepped back into the ring after hopkins executed his career and will to fight.
Its right that Taylor didnt look as good against Wright, Ouma and Spinks, but i think against Pavlik he looked better than ever, even though he lost twice to him. Pavlik is just even better.
So this "I destroy careers, take their Souls" from Hopkins is just bull****, its just talk, talk to raise his own ego and confidence. But it wouldnt suprise me if Hopkins can somehow beat Calzaghe, you should never write this guy off!

You seem to have left out Tito Trinidad. If he is irrelevant, then everybody is.

Kinda seems like he was getting right back into the mix after beating Mayorga untill he crossed swords with Wink.
