That's because Hatton is still living off the KT win. What has Hatton done after that win? Witter hasn't had the opportunity to fight a big fight like that. A win like that would probably propel him into those rankings.

Mozza I think your a good poster here and everything but I dont know how you can defend Hatton on the Witter situation...I visit the Hatton forum sometimes and most of his fans say they are sick of ricky excuses on the junior witter fight... 8 Years and the british public has yet to see it, they want to see it.

Collazo is better than anybody Witter has beaten. So is Castillo. In fact, the man most people consider to be Witter's best win got KTFO by a man Hatton in turn knocked out. In short, their records simple aren't comparable.

I am not opposed to the fight happening and would rather it did. All I am doing is explaining why the fight won't take place in the foreseeable future and pointing out the inaccuracies in the analogies that some people try to draw.

Fair enough, It does get annoying when people downplay fighters, but ricky has just lost a fight and the british public wants to see hatton vs witter.

I think it will be a very good fight

Vivian Harris & Collazo are very comparable & if you think otherwise then you're being very biased towards Hatton. JLC had his name but he wasn't the same fighter after the fights with Corrales. His 140lbs debut showed that. Even with his fight with Hatton you could tell he was a step slower didn't seem to have his normal strength. Hatton did what he was supposed to do against an aging veteran.

Collazo is a step above Harris if you ask me and when you take into consideration the circumstances surrounding those match-ups it was a much tougher fight. Having said that, Witter performed well against Harris and he needs more performances like that against top opponents before his time runs out.

No way! Until Collazo proves otherwise there's no way he's a step above Harris. If he was a step up above Harris he would've made the fight with Sugar Shane alot closer. Harris is probably more inconsistent then Collazo but in no way is Collazo that much better. Collazo's best win was against Jose Antonio Rivera in a fight that could've easily went to Rivera. Harris blew out Diosbelys Hurtado, Juan Lazcano, & Stevie Johnston.

You're right, until Collazo proves otherwise I can't conclusively say he is a step above but in my opinion he has a bit more about him than Harris.

imo vivian harris is prob the best fighter at 140 after witter. hes def an oveall better fighter than collazo.

i dont know how people can even rate castillo. the guy could barely move in the hatton fight. i cant give hatton credit for beating castillo. at 140 hatton hasnt done much since he beat zoo, and even that fight he cheated all the way through.
