In a recent interview with BoxingScene.com's Terry Dooley, Ricky Hatton gave his thoughts on a possible grudge bout with WBC junior welterweight champion Junior Witter. For years, Witter has taunted Hatton through the media, trying to lure him into a bout. In repsonse, Hatton has refused to fight Witter on several occassions, stating that Witter's big mouth cost him the fight. Recently, Hatton has given the bout some hope of actually taking place down the line. [details]

Witter makes no more then 300k a fight. He's broke, thats why he's obsessed with Hatton he wishes to be Rich like him and to have his popularity.

Why doesnt Hatton just fight the guy & KO him then? But anyway Witter needs to move on & realize Hatton might not fight him & doesnt really need to. I get sick of these fighters begging another guy for a fight. Fight whoever will fight you & build your own legacy.Comment

It saddens me to say it, but Hatton's scared of Witter. Always has been. Witter's too slick for him and hits too hard - I think he'd stop Hatton.Comment

Witter has been slandering Hatton for a good few years. Would you want to give a huge pay day to someone you hate?
Yes he can box him and knock him out but Witter still gets a lot of $$$$$ once the fight is over, win lose or draw.Comment
