  • The most ridiculous statement I have seen defended on this forum is:

"Floyd Mayweather has the talent to win a title at middleweight" is a ridiculous/dumb statement.

It certainly does increase Quintana's stock quite a bit, which makes the first round KO look a lot better, does it not?
Maybe I've misunderstood your point, but you're saying that Quintana's win over Williams shows that he is a better fighter than previously thought? And that because of this, Williams' win over Quintana makes Williams seem like a better fighter than previously thought?

No one said Cotto would KO Mayweather.. but he COULD.
If you can't see that possibility then you your mouth is cramned full of his junk.

The same applies if you cant see May knocking out Cotto.

What in recent past makes you think that? A knock out over Hatton? lolz..

Well if Williams had beaten Quintana back in February, it would have been a marginal win over that guy who got lucky against Joel Julio and got wiped out by Cotto.

Those flashes of brilliance by Quintana in the first fight with Williams shows the he is a pretty good fighter. Then Williams destroys the pretty good fighter that showed a lot of talent in the first fight.

I think the closeness of the first fight and the destruction by Williams in the second fight makes the victory a lot better than it would have been had he just won the first time.

I don't know, it's an interesting subject for sure.

                  laughable.
How is that laughable when they are one and one... Williams got completely in the first and Quintana got in the second.

They need to have a tie breaker... or ar you afraid of a third fight?
