It's bad for the sport because Mixed Martial Arts has many extremely talented and trained Athletes and it's struggling to gain mainstream acceptance because people think it's no different then street fighting. Which is completley wrong. Yet Kimbo is being promoted on Shotime as a street fighter and competing in MMA on a major network.
Now your making things up lol neither elitexc or showtime has promoted him like he wouldn't lose all they've said he's a street fighting legend and nothing more. And yes MMA has many extremely talented and trained athletes but don't forget it also has alot of fighters that are non talented as well like that dude ricco rodriguez that also fought yesterday he looks like he shouldn't even be an mma fighter lol but you didn't answer my question when did he duck somebody?

That's being pretty optimistic because maybe a few of those kids will grow up and change their minds, but most of them won't. I mean just look at the crowd last night at Kimbo's fight they didn't want to see skill they wanted to see a KO. Which is ok and as a boxing fan of course I like KO's, but there's more to the sport than that. Im 26 and I know people my age or around it that think Kimbo is the man. They of course are not real fight fans and only look at him and think he's the greatest.

I hate watching a fight Im really into and people are saying "boring" or can I change it, **** that...
The worst is when you're trying to focus on a tactical battle and a know-nothing keeps bugging you. "What's going on?", "Who's winning?" or making ****** observations is the most annoying thing on the planet.

Exactly it would be like Frank Shamrock fighting Pacquiao or something.

Anyway, not sure why but I wouldn't mind seeing Slice try to knock out Valuev.

So your saying if you saw me at an event like that and didn't know me you would assume I just wanna see a ko and don't know nothing about skills just cus I'm having fun and screaming "knock him" out? its like the wwe you see everybody in the crowd all pumped up and all but every one of those fans knows its fake but its still fun.

No I didn't say that, but from my experiences it seems boxing fans appreciate skill more than MMA fans on the average. Im not saying no MMA fans enjoy skill. It's just a guy like Kimbo his fights don't really have much of it and like I said earlier is like a glorified street fight. When in MMA there is a lot of skill and technique that goes along with what they do. So when you look at it like that Kimbo doesn't represent the sport well.

To answer this silly post...Kimbo kills Pavlik in a street fight,Pavlik kills Kimbo in a boxing match.

As for the ignorant fool who refers to 'real white boy' beating down some ass...real white boys have been whipped also.

Well he does back his **** up in the street, but it's still early and so far he's done pretty good against some weak competition but we'll see if he really has what it takes to be an mma fighter in the future.
