Yes he is, because ppl still suck his **** and think he can beat calzaghe. Yet, he is clearly ducking calzaghe when calzaghe keeps inviting pavlik to his fights, yet pavlik never comes!!! I wonder why, calzaghe wants to beat the **** out of pavlik and camp pavlik wants to go fight smaller fighters at 160 even though pavliks camp said that kelly struggles to make 160. What a ****ing joke.

Was Pavlik A Hype?

I felt Pavlik was a much inferior boxer to Taylor in their first fight. I think the KO win was fortunate as he was getting a bit of a boxing lesson for much of the 7 rounds. I was sure that if this fight went the distance, then Taylor would win by a UD. Nobody gave Taylor a chance, but he is a much more skilled boxer. After watching this, Taylor is still a better boxer, but Pavlik has a much better workrate, freaky accuracy for a uncordinated looking fighter, with power that wears the other guy out over the stretch. Taylor was having trouble trading toward the end. I think winning by UD, against a guy with much better natural talent ie speed, skills, balance puts his stock much higher than the first fight. This guy is for real. I think he was hype after the first fight and was looking to get exposed.

Pavlik is not just hype by any means. Being undefeated and defeating Jermain Taylor twice means he is legit. People who "fell out of the Pavlik Bandwagon" as some people would say are not true fans.

Instead of focusing on what Pavlik didn't do, we should focus more on what Taylor did. He put on a great display of masterful boxing. He kept his hands up, used the ring, didn't go on the ropes and didn't get into any serious trouble. He boxed very smart and i thought that he won the fight to be honest. He landed the more clean, sharper, and effective punches. Pavlik is no hype, he is still the recking ball that he was known to be before this fight, it was just the boxing brilliance of ''Bad Intentions'' Taylor.

i dont think Pavlik is hype but he did show the lack of defence & slow hand speed that he showed in the 1st fight aswell IMO
I thought Taylor won but if he lost he only has himself to blame for not finishing stronger i thought Pavlik won the last 2 rounds maybe even the the last 3 but i could'nt give him the fight he looked confused by what Taylor was doing for large spells of the fight
Taylor should have put more into the closing stages
