And it's dumb to say someone is scared. Everyone is scared but they'll never admit it. So if you feel that way about Hopkins the same can be said for Joe.Comment

I think Young Mike Tyson was about the only Guy who ever went into the ring with NO FEAR...
in reality I am sure Both B-Hop and Calslappy are nervous about what the other guy can do..Comment

True. I remeber when I played my first tackle football game. I was nervous as ****. But as soon as you get in the first hit or tackle it's all fun from there on.Comment

Calzaghe has the look and calm demeanor of an Italian hitman....he's gonna give B-Hop the long overdue dental work he's desparately in need of and finally retire that boring, dirty fighter who comes to the ring wearing gimp costumes and thinking he's instilling fear in men who prize fight for a living.Comment

Hopkins behaviour is nothing different from when he fought Tarver, Wright, Tito etc.. His conduct has been nothing but predictable, even under-emphasised. If anything, Hopkins has been quite lenient in the pre-fight build up and I actually expected him to go a little more crazy than he did, but there's still time to add fuel to the hype-machine.Comment

kessler is a good boxer, now, with that being said, there is a big difference between a good boxer and a good fighter.
a good fighter fights with more then just boxing, he using the psych game, he uses the boundaries of the sport to push his opponent to places further then straight up boxing does, a fighter makes the fight gritty and ugly, where is the boxer usually boxes and take a more finesse, more art to his game then the fighter.
now a good fighter can also be a good boxer, and on the flipside of that, a good boxer can be a good fighter when need be.
there are a few guys that come to mind that are good fighters who can box, cotto being one of them, pavlik too, guys like aaron pryor, hopkins, mancini, etc, castillo, guzman, juan diaz, paquiao.
guys that are good boxers who don't fight in the sense of mixing it up, that tend to box in the lines of boxing would be your DLH's, mayweather, taylor, kessler, etc. one guy that stands out in this category is julio diaz, when he fought castillo, you have diaz a young guy basically fresh in the game verses a guy castillo that knows every trick in the rough housing book there is, he's taking in with him real life experience fighting, beyond the scope of boxing for sport and he mauled diaz, which makes a big difference between a boxer and a fighter, but that kind of game can be duplicated with an aggressive style assault with a fighters instinct, boxing, like the baby bull did against julio diaz, in which he basically mauled him too, only juan diaz used a fighters mentality with his boxing skill to execute his fight game, which goes back to a fighter who can box.....................
hopkins is a fighter who can box..................and joe is the same, it's going to be a shoot out!Comment

You're silly. Calzaghe has the most confident demeanor in all of boxing. He may have been off-put at being in the presence of a human being as ignorant as Hopkins. BUt Joe knows full well there will be no press-conference throwdowns. When they get in the ring, you'll see who the man is and who the ***** is from the first. And that doesn't work in Hopkins's favor.
No offense, but often people mistake the confusion and disdain that classy people feel in front of classless people for "fear." It's not fear, if you don't have real class, if you don't have a solid background and a certain degree of self-respect, you probably don't get it.
...Good stuff Kayjay!!!Comment

I'm surprised at you Kayjay. That's an ignorant statement right there. I don't care what prison you go to, it's not a vacation. I've had friends & relatives that have been locked up & to say that just shows how misinformed you are.Comment
