But there are some issues here:

    1. I know he didn't grow up a "thug," because I come from the same city he does, I know his neighborhood, which is by no means a ******, and all the kids I grew up with went to Graterford too, so I know better than other people here how bull**** his whole wannabe gangsta persona is.

    2. He's simply overrated as a boxer. He lost twice to Jermain Taylor. Those fights were close, but he lost them, which is pretty sad. taylor would have been beaten senseless by Calzaghe.

    3. The "whiteboy" comment was made after he walked away shamed and angry, because he saw how Joe doesn't take him seriously since the Taylor losses. He's a prideful man, and those losses bumped him from great fighter to good one, Joe knows that and Hopkins saw that Joe knows it.

    4. He's not dealing well with being vastly inferior to a foreign, white, undefeated legend. It's killing his ego, what's left of it.
    Wow....wooooooooooowwwwwwww...

If you bought the "Joe is scared because he's undefeated" bull****, don't bother replying because you're too ****** to talk to me.

The ***** nonsense he pulled was insulting and embarrassing.

      The "whiteboy" comment was desperation.

He feels inferior, he is inferior.

And he's losing his mind over this. It's too much for him. He'd be better pulling out and signing a rematch with Tito

Maybe he could fight Taylor if Taylor loses again, then he could redeem himself on another "whiteboy's" leftovers

Hopkins loves controversy. He is not losing his mind. It's simple promotion in the heat of the moment, saying things he feels. After he beats Joe, he will apologize and move on. It's not a big deal. Fans are just too ****** to see it.

Agreed! Calzaghe looked like he crapped himself....Bernard was on point with that observation. Calzaghe eyes told the story...he had that ***** look on his face, like he wanted to say. "Please don't beat me up Mr. Hopkins"

You sure aobut that? Mike was so mentally weak he had to be scared before bouts but hey, he looked scarier than most out there so he coped with that fear.

You've got the type of fighters who keep their mouth shut and respect their opponent for the most part and show sportsmanship BUT what do they get for being so nice?

How many people besides Wlad_Ownz are thinking about the upcoming Klitschko-Ibragimov unification fight? When's the last time anybody paid any attention to anything that Ibragimov or Wlad have said since their fight got signed? That's what they get for playin' nice.

Because Hopkins is such a great draw? The only thing interesting in this fight it how Calzaggie will deal with someone as slick as Hopkins...

Hopkins is not an immediate draw. Some fighters like Delahoya virtually do nothing to promote a fight but sit there and be boring and yet do huge PPV numbers despite losing over and over. He works for his paycheck in and outside of the ring. By training hard, selling the fight during press conferences and doing what he has to inside the ring to get the W.

That's how I see Hopkins. Just a street smart strong minded person and now a great fighter looking to finish his career off right and make history and put a few more dollars in the banking account.
