And why is that? Because he didn't use the most beautiful, and IMO one of the most if not THE most effective punch in boxing today, The Oscar De La Hoya jab. His jab really is a thing of beauty to watch, you can see him set **** up with it. He doesn't really use it defensively, but he shoots it out very quickly and gets full extension, it's a great punch and when he uses it properly he is effective.

True. I'm just responding to the poster who said he can't think of anyone who has a better hook than floyd's. Obviously Oscar does.

well since Larry Holmes relied almost solely on his jab to DOMINATE the HW divffor many years and went 48-0 with it. ANY person with even basic logic and boxing Knowledge would HAVE to agree that THAT was the most importand and effective punch EVER in the history of the world.

I don't know what you mean buy the "it ain't a choice comment..."
But I respect the PBF right hand...wheather it's because its dominance over ricky H is still so fresh in our minds or if his greatness will diminish in time (like RJJ) remains to be seen.
