    MAN READ the post first!

In any event...the post should read, which fighter had the most effective (best) punch in boxing and what was it...

AND NONE of you got it right....(although the Klitschko nuthugger was close)

Yes the jab is the most important punch, but who had the best (most effective) jab?

well since Larry Holmes relied almost solely on his jab to DOMINATE the HW divffor many years and went 48-0 with it. ANY person with even basic logic and boxing Knowledge would HAVE to agree that THAT was the most importand and effective punch EVER in the history of the world.

Dare to disagree??? (and be wrong!)
It's 2008, Grandpa... and you are delusional anyways...

Certainly not the caliber of competition Pacquiao has with his straight. Wladimir is killing cattle with his jab. :wank: Great.. Let's see how effective his predictable jab is against a 220 lb. Eric Morales, or Marco Antonio Barrera.
.......And this business about when or how you use it means nothing to me or the argument. I don't care if Manny threw a 74 punch combination and the last punch was his straight. That **** is ****ing dominant.
Just as, you do realize that these guys with their respective styles would get slaughtered at HW(I mean if they were heavyweights themselves)

Their styles are just not made for heavyweight boxing.

The Hopkins straight right hand. Perfect for counters.

And besides, the "caliber" of competition that Pacman was effective against is very questionable as well.

My favorites are Pavlik's right hand and Cotto's left hook to the body and Pavlik's right and Mayweather's arn't really the same punch because Mayweather does I guess the new style thing and leads with it. That's probably not new but it seems alot of boxers use it these days.
