I wouldn't mind seeing a rematch, it was a good fight and I think Williams can beat Quintana if they fought again.

Yes and Rahman clearly won against Lewis. And Duran clearly won against Leonard in the first fight. And Brewster clearly defeated Wlad Klitschko.... And on and on. Doesn't mean a thing dude. I guess Quintana shouldn't get a rematch against Cotto since Cotto clearly defated him and made him quit.

He needs to do what made him a threat as a fighter. Throw a lot of punches. He didn't do that tonight, and was pot shotted.
The reason Williams beat Margarito was that he threw 120 punches a round and never let Margarito get into a rhythm. Williams let Quintana break his rhythm with the left hands and never seemed to be fighting his game plan. Perhaps making 147 is just too much for him.

When a number 10 contender upsets the champion, usually a rematch is in order.

Definitely. If you had two top fighters like Williams and Cotto fight each other and Cotto wins clean then there is no reason for a rematch. But if you have a underdog who was never supposed to win, upset the favorite.....then there should be a rematch.

What are we supposed to do, just forget about P-Williams and move on until Quintana gets knocked out by some other contender and never gives Quintana a rematch?

I just don't see anything immediately lucrative opening up for Quintana so a rematch is almost a natural. I'm sure there is a rematch clause in place since it was a voluntary defense.

I hope so since I'm certain Quintana and his people are thinking about bigger and better things already. Pretty soon you will have Quintana running his mouth on every major boxing site about how all the top guys are ducking him (*cough* margarito *cough*) while there is contenders and former champions willing to fight him.

lol thats funny a fading fighter manages to win the last four rounds of a fight just shut up paul williams got punished! quit crying paul williams was exposed. It's obvious paul is one easy mofo to hit and he doesnt have any power to make people think twice about lunging in. Margarito clearly exposed this so did quintana. The only difference in the margarito fight is that he started too late. It was clear margarito was the better fighter and would have one if just started earlier. but enough of that talk. paul got punished tonight fair and square take it like a man.

Dude you think that you're getting to me? I'm not even a Williams fan, more of Mayweather fan to tell you the truth since you got that big picture of him in your sig.

I'm just telling it like it is. Paul did not get punished. That may sound nice for a title of an article but it's just not true. Quintana went to distance and the judges swinged it his way in a close fight. And Margarito is not a better fighter. Losing to Santos and a guy Cory Spinks whiped his ass with proves that.
