Tarver was an olympic bronze medalist (had a very good amateur career) and beat top LHW's like Reggie Johnson, Eric Harding, Montell Griffin, Roy Jones and Glen Johnson.

He was the undisputed number 1 LHW and there's only one loss he hasn't avenged, the one to Bernard Hopkins.

Tarver has losses but that's because he started his career late, stepped up in competition almost instantly and fought everyone in the LHW division. He is getting older now and should retire.

Tarver isn't a great but he is good.
