And I could definitely understand you being upset about it since a British fighter has never been #1 and probably won't ever be. Americans have dominated pound for pound forever.
im gonna start ranking girls pound for pound on their looks, that way fat women get some love in the same fashion that these p4p rankings give to little midgets who weigh 130
That's the real issue here. The p4p rankings are a boguis way of glorifying the accomplishments of men who are too small to be real athletes.
There is only one king of boxing, and that's the HW champ.
The titles diminish in importance as you move down the weight classes, with everything below lightweight being a series of novelty acts.
The champ in any weight class but HW is only a champ in a qualified sense. The HW champ is champ unconditionally.

lightweight is even a little borderline for me, i enjoy a juan diaz fight, but i wont pay to see anything below welter with very few exceptions.
i used to lose sleep over the fact that ive never ****ed a girl who weighed in less than manny paq but i realized a little while back that its his problem, not mine
See, as I always said, you can consider yourself to be "the best fighter" in the world, but if your ass weights 150 pounds there are plenty of guys who can give a whippin.

Exactly, p4p, if you think about it, is just a good exercise for the mind, blown out by the media and the little kiddies to be more then it actually is.
And even if you apply it, do you really think that things and styles that work at welterweight are gonna be as effective against the heavyweights, especially taking into account that the best HW fighter in the world is good 25 pounds heavier and 5 inches taller then your average sized heavy?
Hitman's analogy is perfect. When you see a pretty girl who happens to be fat, you say "she'd be hot IF SHE WEREN'T SO FAT." That's all we can say about Pacquiao and the like, they'd be good fighters if they weren't the size of a 4th grader.

I don't think so.
People who prefer the lower classes always talk about how there's more "skill" in those classes, but they don't pay attention to the mistakes that would get a HW killed. Pac and Marquez continue to punch when off balance, they throw arm punches, leave themselves open, etc., because they're fighting other midgets who can't punish those mistakes.
See, that is what you don't understand, in that sense P4P is a fraud , an intentional misrepresantation at it's brightest.
How can you consider yourself a best fighter in the world if there is a whole bunch of people that can kick your ass?
Are you gonna use the P4P, which is nothing more then just an ambigious mental exercise, a playground for imagination and nothing more.
From legal and logical standpoint(and you can apply any logical system to this) it is just laughable.
