I never said he was a legendary fighter.

I just said he does have some major achievements in his career.

Unless you dont consider an olympic medal a major achievement, you dont have to be the best ever to get a medal, but its still an achievement, unless you disagree

      ok.

Right now i think Stylistically, i think tarver could have caused calzaghe real problems, thats my opinion, there's a reason he gave jones alot of trouble, he can be quite rangy, is a southpaw and has some degree of power.

No version of Tarver beats Calzaghe. Definitely not the Tarver of right now.

Tarver does appear to be a legend in his own mind, or was he paying Joe a compliment and I am being too harsh??

He can't let the Bernard thing go either 'he still couldn't put me down on my worst day'

This guy's ego knows no limits. Has there ever been a fighter with a 26-4 record so delusional? I hope Woods puts his lights out in April.

Like someone said earlier, No version of Tarver beats Calzaghe at any points of their careers, at anywhere in the world. I hate it when people use "LMAO he pwned Jones by his lucky punch he is the best ever, etc." Styles make fights and every fight plays out differently. Tarver at his best wouldn't be able to cope with Calzaghe's workrate. Just because Tarver beat one fighter who was not the same, Pre-ruiz jones beats tarver handily it doesn't make him a great fighter. We might as well consider Berbick great for beating Ali then? His trilogy with Glen Johnson was horrible. Mikkel Kessler would kick Johnson and Tarver's ass. People who haven't watched Kessler chat **** about him "Kessler who, blah blah blah" If you haven't seen him fight then dont chat **** by logging on to boxrec.com. He is a very good fighter in his Prime who has good defensive skills, power and speed..Calzaghe and Kessler were pretty much well matched but Calzaghe only beat him because of his amazing workrate, Calzaghe's workrate is what got him till here.
