yuh its about styles and the fact that hatton is a midget 140 lber with short arms. floyd bodied his ass. dont compare hatton and williams when analyzing a floyd and paul fight. you gotta throw that hatton fight out the window when discussing a floyd paul fight. name me one true WW floyd KOed? name one.

ok fine. But is PW soft? yes or no. dont give me reasons. is he soft? cuz if you say yes, you are a ****ing idiot. sorry to be so blunt. call him w/e but dont call him soft. Soft competition fine w/e. You can break down everybodies record and knock the fighter down a few notches. fact is, he beat everyone he has faced thus far and he is not soft.Comment

What are you talking about? You make it sound like Floyd has had 30 fights at that weight. Name one that Williams KO that was any good? Who, Mitchell & Mathysee? Mitchell is not a WW and Mathysee just got decapitated by Cintron. I bet anything that Floyd would stop him. Williams aint stopping no one that Floyd fought at WW. He wont stop Oscar or Baldy and you know it. I also bet that he doesnt stop Hattonyuh its about styles and the fact that hatton is a midget 140 lber with short arms. floyd bodied his ass. dont compare hatton and williams when analyzing a floyd and paul fight. you gotta throw that hatton fight out the window when discussing a floyd paul fight. name me one true WW floyd KOed? name one.Comment

Not sure what your unnatural allegiance to Williams is. No one called him soft except you, I said he has been IN soft because data is unbiased.ok fine. To put it in perspective Floyds average opponent has 26 wins 5 losses and Cotto average opponent has 24 wins 5 losses.Comment

this would be a fun fight to watch imo, with floyd decisioning paul or possibly stopping him. williams is taller has a longer reach and throws a lot of punches, way more than floyd, but you see that only works with fighters who aren't as polished. floyd is an A+ fighter with all of the intangibles to stop williams and throw him out of his game for sure. williams said himself that he would be crazy to try to outbox mayweather, which a fighter of his physical attributes would usually try to do against less par fighters. floyd again is the most methodical fighter of his generation, he could and most likely would take paul out of his game, because as far as smarts go, floyd is in league of his own. would paul give him competition? you damn right he would and on paper he would be his toughest foe, but mayweather knows better than most if not all fighters how to use his opponent's style against them added with his accuracy and fluent movement, he would give paul nightmares in the ring. size in a mayweather fight don't mean ****, because he's too tactical a fighter to let paul reign supreme over him. paul imo is a very good fighter, but against floyd, who i feel would be very aggressive against him, paul would fall short.
paul throws many punches per round but against floyd how many would actually land? not too many unless he confuses the **** out of floyd which he could do imo if his stamina holds up, because it would really have to. floyd is a fighter who really doesn't tire out and gets stronger as the fight goes into the later rounds becasue his timing is impecable and his patience in the ring is amazing. paul would have to try to take the early rounds while keeping floyd confused throughout the whole fight, because paul throwing many punches at floyd won't get the job done. his timing would have to be damn near perfect because floyd knows how to time fighters well. add to this, paul leaves his body open a lot and floyd loves to break his opponent's body down with a jab or straight right hand to the body, and floyd fights very effectively in the pocket. paul is fast and fights good when fainting but floyd is too accurate and adjust too well to styles as the later rounds come, especially if he gets in many body punches in the early rounds. paul's body was open a lot during his fight with tony, so just imagine what floyd would do to it, he's a much smarter skillerfull and accurate fighter then margarito, floyd sees everything, he's that observant. paul would have to be accurate with his jab and not just throw it out there like he has done a lot in the past. throwing punches just to stay active is a huge mistake when fighting floyd, especially seeing how the judges in his fights score them. floyd can throw less than half of the punches of williams but due to his punches landing accurately, he will get the decision everytime.
paul has a decent defense but he isn't a accurate counterpuncher like floyd is. paul is a good counterpuncher, don't get it twisted, just not a prolifent with it like floyd is.
this would be a good fight imo, but i just don't see how paul would beat floyd, i don't see it at all happening. floyd just knows how win and adjust very well. paul throws a lot of his punches in a slapping motion which is smart because he is much faster when he slaps his punches and could throw floyd off this way, but floyd knows how to adjust to everything.
floyd ud or late tko over paul.Comment
