I didn't mention the n-word in this thread. But yes I do think they are the same, though I would never use that to you as I don't expect you would ever call me the other word.

I have a point alright then.

'Nard is normally a nice guy, from a nice neighborhood and he's a businessman. I don't get the whole thing about him being intimidating, except that he was a great champion, which is intimidating perhaps to a man who is less than his equal. But certainly not to Joe. What's to be intimidated about? Is Hopkins going to rush him at a damn weigh-in or something? Be serious, and be above this nonsense.

Now Hop's pride did get hurt a little. He's a proud man and it's not easy for him to accept his place in the game has fallen.

My point was when Hopkins walked up on Cal & started barking at him; Cal was like a deer in headlights. That's what alot of objective people saw & agree with. And I hate to burst your bubble alt but the n word & "whiteboy" are too totally different terms. That's fact & if you think otherwise & try to equate the two then there's nothing else to say you. And no I'm not cosigning what Hopkins said because he shouldn't have went there but you're totally wrong.
      i agree with knicksfan..

i call my black friends black.. whudup black?
its like them call me whiteboy.. i dont care its what i am..

You said racial slurs & "whiteboy" isn't, that's why I mentioned the n word & you equating it. Hopkins is a businessman, but remember where he came from & how because a person like him can flip the switch in a heartbeat. That's the truth because I know guys like him. Maybe his pride was a little hurt but to me he won the war of words because he had Cal backpedaling after saying Taylor beat him. Hopkins maybe rich now but don't think for a second that he can't get "street" if you rub him the wrong way.

How did he have Calzaghe backpeddling? They were just exchanging insults to the best of my knowledge.

Hopkins came from a working-class neighborhood similar to my own; he's from Germantown, no real "street." He's not getting "street" much these days, though he got angry at the weigh-in. Even if he did get "street" what does that have to do with boxing? Wait I'll answer that for you: nothing at all.

So he served a sentence at Graterford. That's hardly a distinction or something that warrants reference twenty years later. Everyone I grew up with went there too, but they weren't tough either. All you had to do was break into a few houses. That doesn't happen to be intimidating.

Calzaghe first said "you lost to Taylor," then Calz admitted the fight was about even.

                    That's just Joe being honest.
