"We are due to meet face-to-face for a press conference but he has continually put obstacles in the way," said Calzaghe. "I was ready to fly to America but it kept getting put back. He is all mouth - and I could see that in his eyes when he started bragging last year. Hopkins is a good talker and I've seen what can happen if you let the top Americans wind you up - it will not happen with me. He's an old man and I will end his long career."
I do hope so.Last edited by beauty; 02-03-2008, 03:52 AM.

If this fight was being fought five years ago there would be no doubt as to who the winner would be. The only doubts over B-Hop are his age and how slow he fights these days. If he can slow Joe down and get the fight to go the way he wants there is no reason he can't win this fight.

For Joe Calzaghe to say that of someone who has EARNED the RESPECT of men who don't give RESPECT to many men(these men being current and ex-inmates at Gratersford State Penatentary in Pennsylvania) is flat out BULL****!!! You can't survive a place like Gratersford if fear is located anywhere in your eyes! Thats the first place jail dudes look at is in your eyes! So guys who've been incarcerated know how to hide the fear that appears from the eyes! Bernard is a ex-con who did time for REAL crimes! While incarcerated he earned the respect of some the baddest dudes that ever lived! Why? He showed no FEAR! I guess Mr. Calzaghe is just blowin smoke like he on a Amsterdam vacation or something! Hate him or Love him, Bernard Hopkins is a STAND UP DUDE!
NOW BACK TO BOXING!!
Bernard will land the harder more accurate shots, Calzaghe throwin a thousand punches wont matter cause he's not accurate at all! Men lie, Women lie, numbers don't! His connect pct. in his last fight was in the 20's! And Bernard is a FAR better than defensive fighter than Kessler!
Bernard's body punching, in-fighting and rough house tactics will wear Calzaghe down and we will all bear witness to Bernard Hopkins systematically taking Joe Calzaghe apart! Calzaghe will get dropped in this fight, he'll get back up but he will definitely get dropped!
Bernard shocks the odd makers and wins a UD!

Calzaghe: Could you beat Kessler?
Hopkins: Who is Kessler? Kessler!? ()
Calzaghe: Come on man you lost to Jermaine Taylor twice
Hopkins: What!? You really think i lost those two fights?
Calzaghe: Well....maybe it was 50/50
Hopkins: Look, he;s changing his mind now, 50/50, maybe he should be the promoter
Calzaghe: How are you gonna beat me?
Hopkins: What the point in me telling you how im gonna beat you, when i can show you how im gonna beat you
Calzaghe...............
